Should I move to a new city?

Relocating can improve work, lifestyle or housing, but it also creates friction. Compare the day-to-day reality rather than the idea of a fresh start.

Model the practical change

Separate a city problem from a life problem

Ask whether the change of location actually fixes what is bothering you. A new city can change circumstances, but it does not automatically change habits, relationships or work patterns.

Test before committing

If possible, spend meaningful time there during ordinary weeks, not only on a short visit. Gather evidence about the routine you would actually live.
